Breakfast Rice Cereal

 

1 Cup cooked brown rice

˝ Cup Milk

Honey to taste

Cinnamon to taste

Raisins or any other fruit (optional)

Mix all ingredients and heat on stove top till hot or heat in microwave till hot. Makes 2-3/4 cup servings. Serve with toast.

Other Rice Recipes

I like to cook up extra rice and freeze it for later. And use the frozen rice in the following ways. Add a couple of tablespoons of cooked rice to a green salad. Add a couple of tablespoons of rice to bean burrito. Scramble a couple of eggs and add two tablespoons of rice to the eggs then add sauté onions then add soy sauce to taste. Add a couple tablespoons of rice to your favorite soup. You can add a couple of tablespoons of any cooked grain to almost any thing without changing the texture or flavor, but with much benefit to your diet.
