It is really exciting to have an herbal formula like I Brite.  I have people come in to the clinic who are slowly losing their vision and being able to help reverse that process is really exciting for me and also for them.  For these people, when they start to lose their vision it starts out by becoming murkier and murkier and pretty soon they have lost their vision altogether. This formula 'I Brite' is not the herb Eye Bright, it is a formula that contains Eye Bright, Fenugreek, Yarrow,  Goldenseal, Dandelion Rt. and Capsicum.  It was made to help clear the fluid in the eye because the lens is made up from nutrients in this fluid. The lens of the eye is made up like layer after layer after layer… it's like looking through cellophane. You look at a roll of cellophane & you can see right down to the cardboard because it's clear, but if you look at a roll of wax paper you can't see through it at all. What is going on with a cataract is instead of a nice clear, crisp layer of the lens being created it's like wax paper… it's kind of milky. Layer upon layer upon milky layer you develop a cataract & you can't see.  As  you take I Brite it cleans the fluid in the eye and as new layers of the eye are built they become cleaner and clearer.  Instead of creating a wax paper type film or lens it creates a clear cellophane type lens. Now you need to realize that I Brite won't clear up a cataract instantly, the top layers, the milky layers, need to sluff off before you notice the new clear lens, the clear & clean have got to outnumber the milky and murky, and this takes a period of time. Normally it takes about six months of taking  I Brite to see a tremendous difference, although within a short period of time, perhaps three months, an eye exam for example will reveal that a cataract is significantly changing.  I Brite is also very beneficial with glaucoma in reliving the pressure in the eye, taken along with roasted Dandelion Rt. tea. If you read any of the literature I have on the herbal formulas that I have in my clinic you will see that I seem to repeat many times when I say that refined carbohydrates are not to be used. If there are eye problems the diet must be addressed.  A beneficial diet for eye problems is dark leafy green and yellow vegetables, grains and fruits.  As Americans we eat way to much protein and fat. We need to eat more fresh fruits, vegetables and grains. The Orientals say that all eye problems are liver problems.  I believe this to be true. The liver is significantly involved with eye problems.  If you think on this line…that eye problems are liver problems, you are going to need to clean the liver and to do so, you need to realize what the liver does. The liver burns fat in order to fuel itself. you need to consume a good quality oil to help fuel the liver.  Cod liver oil, cold pressed oil, or expeller processed oil are good oil forms for the liver.  Some may say "I eat safflower oil" but that may not be as good depending on how it is processed.   If the safflower oil is heat rendered it is not as good as expeller processed safflower oil.  The expeller processed can be used by the liver much more readily than the heat processed.  If the liver has good fats and oils then the liver will use those instead of carbohydrates and not plug up our arteries.   The fat that we eat is important to watch, but we need to never think "don't ever eat fat," because the liver has got to have fat. If we can fuel the liver properly then the eyes will improve. So, sensible changes in our diet and the herbal formula I Brite people will find tremendous changes for the better in their eye problems.  There has not been any eye problems that I have not seen drastically change with a change in diet and taking I Brite. This formula also helps in allergies, irritation to the eyes, soreness, and overworked eyes.  Traditional use of the contents: Eyebrite is for eye problems, allergies, and glaucoma. Fenugreek reduces the mucous in the eyes and body. Bayberry Bk. soothes the mucous membranes, congestion of the eyes and the sinus. Dandelion Rt. is helpful in liver cleansing, glaucoma and other eye problems. Goldenseal Rt. is a tonic for the liver and eyes. Oregon Grape Rt. is a pro-biotic.  It influences the glandular system, lymphatic and skin. Also stimulates saliva and bile secretions, taking the toxic load off the eyes.
