About
ACEC:
The American Council of
Engineering Companies of New Mexico (ACEC/NM) is a professional
association of New Mexico's premier consulting engineering and surveying firms.
Our member firms offer a full range of professional design services
including civil, structural, transportation, mechanical,
electrical, environmental, geotechnical,
and many others.
ACEC/NM is a
member organization of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) which is the largest national
organization of engineers engaged in the
independent practice of consulting engineering. ACEC has 5,000 member
firms
employing more than 190,000 professional engineers, scientists and
technicians in many different
engineering disciplines who design over $100 billion in construction
projects annually. More than 75 percent of these firms are small
businesses with fewer than 25
employees each.
This web site is
provided as a service of ACEC/NM. For assistance in getting
information about member firms, their areas of specialization and
the principals of each firm, select
Membership Directory. To assist you in locating the firm(s) that offer
specific
services you may need, select Specialty
Areas.
ACEC/NM believes
in Qualification-Based Selection (QBS) of design professionals. This widely
accepted process provides for vigorous and open competition among
design
firms in the areas of personnel, experience, prior performance and
technical
skills. QBS is an important first step leading to successful
negotiation of scope of services and
corresponding fees (See PTAB).
